Serving God's Purposes in Our Generation (Acts 13:36b)

Spiritual Self-Assessment

For If We Would Judge Ourselves, We Would Not Be Judged. 1 Corinthians 11:31 NKJV

As the year comes to attend and we begin dreaming, setting goals and planning for the coming year, it is important that we first take a sincere look at our lives to see where we are and what needs to be modified, eliminated and changed to become what we desire to be in line with God’s will and purpose for our lives.

It is important that we start the assessment by examining our spiritual life. Since the spiritual controls the happenings in and around us, it is important that we make out time to take a sincere and honest look at our spiritual life. We need to do a self-assessment to know why we are where we are, why we are experiencing what we are going through right now and what we need to do to change our situation and enjoy a better life.

CONSIDER THESE QUESTIONS AND ANSWER THEM SINCERELY:

• Are You Born Again?

• How Close Are You To God?

• Do You Give Attention To The Word Of God?

• Do You Study, Meditate, Believe And Act On The Word Of God That You Read And Hear?
Did You Make Out Time To Read Christian Literature This Passing Year? How Serious Are You In Acquiring Knowledge To Develop Your Spiritual Strength?

How Is Your Prayer Life? How Consistent And Effective Is Your Prayer Life?

Do You Believe In Your Pastor? Do You Respect And Honour Him, His Teachings And Counsel? Are You Committed To Your Pastor’s Welfare?

What Are You Doing For God In His House? Do You Just Attend Church Or You Are Part Of The Team That Makes The Church Worth Attending?

How Committed Are You To Soul Winning? Did You Make Disciples This Year?

How Committed Are You To God? Are You On Fire For Jesus Or Lukewarm?

How Committed Are You To Practicing The Teachings You Have Been Receiving From Your Church? Are You A Hearer Only And Not A Doer Of The Word?

Are There Bad Habits And Character That Contradict The Life Of Jesus That Must Be Corrected, Improved Upon Or Eliminated Completely?

Answering these questions sincerely will help you identify correctly where you are and what areas to work on to improve and become who God wants you to be. Do not let this year pass by without you doing this self-assessment.

I pray for you that you will go deeper in Christ and manifest Jesus more in the coming year in Jesus name. May you become more mature in Christ in the coming year in Jesus name.
