After that day, I began to see differences in my life and my attitude changed. I stopped taking drugs, did not mix with bad company and my dirty books were replaced with Christian books and the bible . . . . After some time my father came to know about my conversion and he was deeply upset about it. He told me to stop what I was doing, stop following Christ but I refused. When he saw that I was adamant with my decision, he asked me to leave the house. With tears in my eyes, I left with the clothes on my back not knowing what to do or where to go.
Water Baptism – Public Proclaimation Of An Inward Change In Jesus
One of the most important things for a child of God is to be obedient to Him. The Bible says obedience is better than sacrifice. Baptism is a step of obedience for the believer to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ as found in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Henceforth, water baptism is not a personal choice, but a command for all believers (Mark 16:16).
Living Maximally For God

There are lot of great dreams in my heart. Crazy, insane ideas and dreams for what God wants me to do with my life as I live in Him. It boggles my mind and my heart. I don’t know at times what to do with what God’s given me to do. It’s a scary thing, because when God gives you a dream, you have a beginning and a picture of an end, but really don’t know what’s going to happen as it plays out. I want to remain in the center of God’s will as I move forward. The season of Portland Bible College is drawing to a close, and I’m waiting to see what God does in and through me as I begin this next season here in the next year or so.
What God Is Doing Through Me
God is polishing me and taking me through the fire that refines me. You know it is hard to go through the refining fire though we know that we will become a cleansed weapon in God's hand. Believe me, I recently thought of even quitting from Christian ministry. I have been going through a financial crisis which is the worst time I ever had. I thought of doing a secular job and doing God's ministry. You could be a witness everywhere you work but it is hard for those who are called to be fulltime workers. I hardly get time to do ministry if I do another job. At the end of the day, I am sure that the Lord is faithful and He knows all about our needs.
This One Thing I Do
Most people know that in order to excel at anything in life you must be devoted; you have to sacrifice time, expend energy, and give yourself over to your goals in order to achieve them. Paul the Apostle told us in Philippians that this attitude was the key to his great success as a disciple of Christ. Philippians 3:13-14 says “ . . . . I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." This one thing I do. Less is more when we are focused on achieving mastery in any area of our lives.
A Lifelong Millionaire's Dream To God's Perfect PLAN A For My Life
I am Raj Nagi and currently live in the USA. I used to live in Punjab, India from the Kshatriya family where it was my lifelong dream to come to America and live the millionaire’s life. I lived a wild life of alcoholism and carelessness. I was a devoted Hindu who married a girl from the Brahman family. I came to America in 1995 and began working in an Indian store in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time I met a Pastor Avinash Raiborde from India who was a regular customer of the store. The Pastor offered to pray for a problem I was having and three days later the problem was resolved. I began to really listen to what he was saying about Jesus. When I lost my job at the store, I was very afraid, but God sent a man to me that day to offer me an even better job!
Global Day of Prayer
On 15 May 2005 millions of Christians from 156 nations in the world united in the first ever Global Day of Prayer. Christians gathered in different venues, seeking God's face in repentance and prayer for the transformation of their communities and nations. Driven by Hab. 2:14 ("For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea"), the dream is to mobilize Christians from every single nation in the world to participate in the Global Day of Prayer over the next few years until 2010. However, the focus is not only on a single day of prayer, but to see a lifestyle of prayer established that will transform communities. This move of prayer is still miraculously expanding. In 2006 millions of Christians from 199 nations united in prayer and in 2007 even more Christian from 204 nations participated. On Pentecost Sunday, 11 May 2008, the nations of the world will once again unite in the Global Day of Prayer.

What On Earth Is Happening To The World Today?
These past few months, the world we live in has faced challenges that governments, institutions, families and individuals have found difficult to cope with – agflation [agricultural inflation], soaring prices of good and services, shakening of stable and trusted financial institutions, change of governments and political institutions, societal transformation in family and marriage, rise in new infectious diseases, increased persecution of Christians, shakening of religious institutions, talk of a global recession and many more changes. "What On Earth Is Happening To The World Today?”In this article, we will allow the powerful Word of God to speak and breathe life for itself.
Father's Love Letter – Unconditional Love From The Father Of Creation
Father's Love Letter is a compilation of bible verses from both the Old & New Testaments that are presented in the form of a love letter from God to the world. Each line in the Father's Love Letter message is paraphrased, which means we have taken each scripture's overall message and summarized it as a single phrase to best express it's meaning. The power of God's Word has the ability to change lives because it is God's Word. The Bible describes God's Word as living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) and promises not to return empty (Isaiah 55:11). Today we live in a fatherless generation where many people believe that God's angry and distant from His creation. The world is crying out to be unconditionally loved. The Church is crying out to be unconditionally loved. We all desperately need to hear the truth that God loves us and is the Father we have been looking for all our lives.
A Time To Make Friends
Many first time visitors to Germany are surprised by the cosmopolitan picture that presents itself in large cities such as Berlin, Hamburg or Frankfurt. This is not only seen on the menus of restaurants and coffee shops, but right on the high streets. Döner kebab stands have moved next to Bratwurst Grill, the corner bar has been transformed into an Italian restaurants and one finds a Sushi bar in every major shopping mall. Berlin is an ideal place to discover these varieties of cultures. Although many of the migrants in Berlin have been here for two or three generations already, the average German does very little to befriend his/her African or Asian neighbour.
Teen Porn Addiction – Only A Mouse Click Away!
With the advent of the Internet, pornography is only a click-away and more kids are falling prey to sexual addiction than ever before. According to some studies, nine in ten teens have been exposed to pornography. These days, one doesn't need to go looking for it, it comes flooding into our inboxes without any solicitations. The ubiquitous spam mails with adult content are freely floating around everywhere. Unsupervised access to broadband Internet has only aggravated the problem for teens. The growing interest of teens in social networking sites also poses grave danger and not to mention obscene and sexually explicit images and videos they "accidently" run into can get them hooked forever.
True Friendship – The Masala In The Curry of Life
How can we find true friendship in this often phony, temporary world? Friendship involves recognition or familiarity with another's personality. Friends often share likes and dislikes, interests, pursuits, and passion. Genuine friendship involves a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire to see one another grow and develop, and a hope for each other to succeed in all aspects of life. True friendship involves action: doing something for someone else while expecting nothing in return; sharing thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or negative criticism.
What Is Friendship?
Dictionaries define ‘friendship’ as a friendly relation or intimacy. Is that all it is? No, it’s so much more then just that. Friendships are made and broken all the time. When they are broken it may be for good reasons or bad. I myself have lost a great deal of friends, and in finishing my 12th year I know I am bound to lose more. Everyone is going there own ways, doing their own things; they are all leaving high school behind them. So I am dedicating this article to the friends I’ve made, the friends I’ve lost, the friends I know I will always have, and the friends that I’ll make in my future. Seven Hazardous Habits of Executive Level Leaders
Though many may be associates of either senior pastors or business owners, it is virtually impossible to understand the pressures, sacrifices, and weight of responsibility that rests upon the shoulders of effective senior leaders. The following points illustrate some of the hazards of executive level leadership. - 1. Executive level leaders often isolate themselves, 2. Executive level leaders often violate principles of Sabbath rest, 3. Executive level leaders often do not celebrate the processes of success, 4. Executive level leaders often judge themselves by the success stories of other leaders, 5. Executive level leaders often sacrifice the health of their soul for the urgent matters of pending tasks, 6. Executive level leaders often do not have a plan for personal growth and development and 7. Executive level leaders often put the work of the organization before the health of their family and key personnel.
More Than Dreams – Visions and Dreams of Jesus Among Moslems
For decades, a phenomenon has been recurring in the Muslim world. Men and women – without any knowledge of the Gospel and without any contact with Christians – have been forever transformed after experiencing dreams and visions of Jesus Christ. Reports of these supernatural occurrences often come from “closed countries” where preaching the Gospel is forbidden and where converting to Christianity can invoke the death sentence. A common denominator appears to be that the dreams come to those who are seeking to know and please God. We decided to capture some of these stories in More Than Dreams - Visions and Dreams of Jesus Among Muslims - Moslems and use them as a witnessing tool to Muslims all over the world.

Facing The “Culture War” Within The Church
It’s strange but it nevertheless true. We get to meet everyone in Church except Jesus. Worse, we still haven’t recognized it as yet. Tamil-Christian Churches have become places were cultural and/or caste identities are forged and reinforced. It is all about – “who we are” and “where we come from” – rather than “who we are’ in Christ. Anything other than the tried – tested and trusted – evangelistic methods are a dilution of the gospel. So much so, Tamil-Christianity is all about do’s and don’ts. Religious language accords certain authority and even helps to legitimize them as bench marks for spirituality.Forgiveness – Key To A Happy, Healthy And Spirit-Filled Life
If you are anything like me then I can safely guarantee that you have been wronged many times over. Most of the times it is by the people we love, cherish and trust. That is why exculpation (to clear of guilt or blame) can become very painful. Maybe because we confuse it with condoning the wrongs committed against us. Many times we convince ourselves that the person who has wronged us doesn’t deserve our forgiveness. What is important is to realise that forgiveness has nothing to do with others and ALL to do with us because it is the forgiver that benefits from this act, not the forgiven. However, it’s important to let go and forgive. Here are some reasons why you should forgive with freedom no matter what the offense.
Christ Unique Claims – Typical or Exceptional
Undeniably, Jesus lived an exemplary life. He made claims of himself that remain extraordinary and startling, though reasonable and profound. We need only to read some of the autobiographies of great men and women who have gone before us to see that they were subject to the same moral frailties distinctive to you and me. Yet nothing of the sort is said about Jesus, a fact that pierces heart, mind, and conscience. Of this, historian and skeptic William Lecky writes: "[Jesus] has exercised so deep an influence that it may be truly said that the simple record of three short years of active life has done more to regenerate and soften mankind than all the disquisitions of philosophers and all the exhortations of moralists. This has indeed been the wellspring of whatever is best and purest in the Christian life."(2) We cannot but come to the conclusion that Jesus was far from typical.
