The Song Changa Was Written Exactly A Year Ago When I Was In The City Of Lucknow On Some Work Assignments And I Developed Covid-19. I Didn’t Realize That I Was, You Know Suffering With Covid-19. For Almost 12 Days I Was Flat In Bed And On The 13th Day I Developed This Palsy Attack On My Jaw. It Started To Twist Uncontrollably I Could Not Hold It.
It Was Mid-Afternoon And You Know We Were Just Rushing Between Hospitals Trying To Find A Bed. All The Beds Were Occupied Because Of Covid And No Doctor Was Willing To See Me. It Was At That Time That You Know We Finally Found A Back Door Entry Into A Government Hospital Where I Had A Couple Of Steroid Shots To Bring Me Under Control. I Was Eventually Tranquilized And Brought Back Home. I Travelled Back To Mumbai Eventually To Realize That I Had 45 Lung Infections And I Had Developed Covid Complications.
It Was Difficult To Breathe And I Just Thank God For My Parents And Everyone Who Prayed For Me And Took Care Of Me In That Time. Many Of Us, Many Of You Lost Your Loved Ones In The Second Wave Of Covid And It’s Really Unfortunate, It’s Really Sad.
But Many Of Us Also Got Healed. It Was One Midnight When I Felt Like The Presence Of My Room Changed And I Began To Sing These Lines That I Felt Were A Direct Download From Heaven. I Began To Sing These Lines The Portion Of Isaiah 53 Where It Talks About By His Stripes We Were Healed. It Just Began To Come Forth And I Began To Think About This That This Healing Is Real Healing And Is Available To Us.
Jesus Heals People Even Today. I Know Many People Theologically Would Want To Debate That And We Are Often Caught Between Our Theology And Our Experience, Our Head Knowledge And Our Experiential Knowledge. Some Have Believed God For Healing And Have Wrestled And Have Probably Not Found That Healing As Yet.
But Some Have Wrestled And Stuck Through And Fought, Fought That Good Fight Of Faith And Have Received Their Healing. We Constantly Hear Of Testimonies Of People That Have Been Healed.
In My Own Life In The Early Years Of Ministry, I’ve Seen A Human Leg, The Leg Of A Paralytic Woman Who Came In A Wheelchair. I Saw It Grow To Normal Size In Front Of Me. I’ve Seen A Man Whose Thumb Grew In Front Of Us In The Prayer Meeting. It Was Pink And It Was New Skin.
Last Year When I Was Stuck With Covid And Facing All Kinds Of Battles, All Kind Of Spiritual And Emotional And Mental Traumatic Battles With Physical Illness Lying Down In Bed, The Lord Blessed Us With This Song And So As We Release This Song Changa. We Are Believing God For Healings And Miracles And Deliverance.
I Believe We Need More Songs To Declare Healing. I Believe God Wants To Heal His Children. God Is Waiting To Transfer That Healing To You And So This Song Changa Is For Anybody Who Needs Healing.
I Believe As Human Beings, We All Need Healing In Some Areas, Maybe The Healing That You Need Is Not Physical, Maybe It’s Mental, Maybe It’s Emotional, Maybe It’s Healing From Abuse, Maybe It’s Healing From The Past, Maybe The Healing That You Need Is Of Something That You Went Through In Your Childhood, Maybe The Healing That You Need Is From Depression Or Anxiety.
But Whatever That Healing Is, I Want You To Know That Jesus Heals. Jesus Is The Same Jesus Who Never Mentioned What He Went Through On Good Friday On To Resurrection Monday Morning. Jesus Is Amazing Not Only Because He Brings Healing, He Himself Is Healing All That He Went Through, All The Abuse, All The Difficulty, All The Challenge That He Went Through On The Cross On Friday, He Never Carried It Into Monday.
So You And I Have A Choice To Snap Out Of Our Emotional Battles, Our Mental Battles Our Traumatic Battles. We Have A Healing That’s Available To Us. I Believe God Can Quicken That Process Of Healing In Your Life.
I Believe Right Now If You’re Watching Me From The Hospital With Tubes Connected To You That Jesus Can Come And Reach You. There In Fact, He Wants To, He Desires, To Bring His Presence To Come And Touch You.
And So Through The Song Changa, We Believe That God Is Going To Heal His People. I Just Declare Healing Over This Whole Nation Of India. I Believe Hearing Across Faiths Whether You’re A Christian, Whether You’re A Follower Of Jesus Or Whether You’re Just Listening To This Song, Just For The Sake Of It, I Want You To Know That Jesus Still Loves You. Jesus Wants To Heal You.
Jesus Wants To Heal Even His Enemies. Jesus Wants To Set People Free And Jesus Wants To Heal You If You Want To Receive Healing Today. I Just Pray That This Song Changa Would Grow Over You That It Would Strengthen You. It Would Help You Fight Those Emotional Battles And It Would Help You Receive Your Healing Today From Heaven To The Earth, That’s The Bridge And We’re Singing That From Heaven To Earth.
Let That Healing Keep Falling. Let That Healing Come Over You Like Fountains And Like Rain Right Now. We Just Declare That Over You In Jesus Name.

‘Changa’ is a song exclusively written to declare Christ’s healing power. One thing is indisputable: Jesus heals! From the Bible days even till now, Jesus is alive and He heals. In times of doubt, we need a song of healing declaration to latch on to.
Changa is that song written by Sheldon Bangera during his covid experience and then later on modified and worked upon by Emmanuel Joseph. The song opens with verses from Isaiah 53 “by His stripes we have been healed”.
