Mrs. Pushpa E.R Varghese, born and brought up in a Christian family, is a living witness of God’s salvation and providence. Even though she faced death multiple times, her faith in God stood impenetrably firm. God’s grace was upon her when Pushpa met complications as an infant in her mother’s womb in 1956. Later in 1963, she suffered from typhoid in her early childhood. Throughout the struggle, God’s almighty hand continued to protect her and restore her.
In 1976, Pushpa accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour; and was baptised. Since 2010, God continues to strengthen her body when she was diagnosed with bronchitis. Despite the hardships and sicknesses, she has faced over the years, her faith in Christ stays undefeated.
Mrs. Varghese wrote and composed this song (Rehnuma Raha) and later recorded it in July 2019. Soon after, in September, she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer and tuberculosis. During this challenging period, this song was her testimony. She continued to testify about the strength she found in Christ during the traumatic treatment that she had to go through right after.
Five months after her final procedure, another immense tragedy hit her family when her 7-year-old grandson went home to be with Lord. However, she stands firm with her family to believe that Gladson, her grandson, is at eternal peace with Christ Jesus. With a grateful heart, Mrs. Pushpa Varghese continues to stand firm in her resilient faith.
