Serving God's Purposes in Our Generation (Acts 13:36b)

Expressing Gratitude To The Saviour

My motto is "Have some wine and think how good life is..." Recently, I lounged in Portland City Grill. With a drink in one hand and gazing over the city and view, I relaxed and thought about the good things of life. For a moment I forgot that I was in a crowded place. I thought about the goodness and things in life I am looking forward to.

It's not that I am oblivious to the harsh realities. Life can disappoint, wear you out and backstab. But why constantly dwell on the negative and constantly give off a bitter aura? It doesn't necessarily make anyone more 'real' or necessarily more intelligent. It just makes you negative, cranky and disagreeable.

I have a reason to rejoice. The love of my life thinks I'm beautiful when I smile. His heart skips a beat when he sees me laugh, live life to the fullest and have a spirit filled with joy. He saw that I faced a difficult situation many years ago. Out of compassion and love, he did everything he could to take care of it for me. He does not want me to be miserable. Sometimes, I am stunned at how he treats me like a queen. I am melting. I feel giddy and gigglish when I sense his love not just for me, but for all humanity.

He does not want me to live like I used to. He wants me to stand strong and walk with soft confident strides even when the world is falling apart by the moment. If I can help it, I will choose to be happy and live my life to the fullest. Even though my smile is a small gesture of gratitude, it means a lot to him.

To the love of my life, you know who you are. I do not want to continue living in the past. I don't want things to stay the way they used to be. You have done so much for me and continue to do so all because you wanted me to be happy, live a better life and be right by your side. I'll take all that you have intended for me. I will embrace you as well as the life you want me to live. I'll start by smiling more...just for you.
