1. God is so faithful!
2. I'm back in Bombay. Spent a total of two months in Goa...it was a time of stretching and growth and learning to trust the Lord. Intense, overwhelming at times, and altogether AMAZING! I wouldn't trade these last two months for anything! I love the children I got to work with and would go back in a heartbeat. But I don't think that is where God wants me at the moment...
3. Life is definitely an adventure when you make God your passion...a quote I once heard and can totally identify with.
4. Waiting to join another work here in Mumbai itself. We'll see how things turn out and what new experiences await...
5. Someone I've grown really close to over the last few weeks shared this really old hymn with me. I don't know the tune but the words speak truth...
So I send you, to labour unrewarded
To serve unpaid, unloved, unsought, unknown
To bear rebuke, to suffer scorn and scoffing
So I send you, to toil for Me alone
So I send you, to bind the bruised and broken
O'er wandering souls, to work, to weak, to wake
To bear the burdens of a world aweary
So I send you, to suffer for My sake
So I send you, to loneliness and longing
With a heart a hung'ring for the loved and known
Forsaking home, and kindred, friend and dear one
So I send you, to know My love alone
So I send you, to leave your life's ambition
To die to dear desire, self-willed resign
To labour long, and love where men revile you
So send I you, to lose your life in Mine
So send I you, to hearts made hard by hatred
To eyes made blind, because they will not see
To spend tho' it, be blood to spend and spare not
So send I you, to taste of Calvary
6. I know the words seem rather heavy, but such is the life I have been called to. Here's a little something encouraging, also passed on to me by the same someone...don't know where it's from, but I like it:
Every morning, lean thine arms awhile upon the window-sill of heaven, and gaze upon thy Lord. Then, with the vision in thine heart, turn strong to meet thy day.
7. My loving Saviour is faithful.
