Crash is an amazing film. It brings out the ugly side of racism and highlights the stark reality of its ignorance and stupidity. How often do we conform to a stereotype thinking of what some races are, based on a few individuals who may spoil its image. Generalizations are never beneficial. Instead of pointing the finger at others, what can we do reach others? Are we an embarrassment ourselves? Embarrassment – Crash Movie Review
One of the first challenges the Christian faces relates to his acceptance of the Bible as the supreme authority - the only inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God which provides the frame of reference for all that he knows and believes and on the basis of which he could order his behaviour. Any apologetic that is undertaken must therefore include a defence of the utter trustworthiness of Scripture as originally given in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. It was that prince of preachers, C.H. Spurgeon who said, 'Defend the Bible I would rather defend a lion!'
One of Louisiana's most popular politicians is recently elected Congressman Bobby Jindal, an American South Asian. In a frank discussion with LittleIndia's Lavina Melwani, Jindal spoke about everything from his faith to his motivations to enter politics. Excerpts from his interview are reproduced here.
Ashish Joy writes a rather strong arguement in 'Jude - Genuine Christianity'. In today's culture, Christianity has been somewhat distorted and the fear of God lacking among many. Feel free to share your feedback in part one of this two-part essay.
Finally I have arrived at this point - the decision to get baptized. Why it has come so late, I myself cannot answer fully. I guess I just had a lot of inertia to take this step of declaring my faith... yet I do not regret not having done it sooner, because after all my experiences I know for sure now that the God I serve is alive and guiding my life.
Mourned by millions at his death, Sadhu Sundar Singh (1889-1929) is India's most famous convert to Christianity. He rooted Christian wisdom in a distinctively Indian style and emphasized the life-changing teachings of Jesus Christ. Many Sikhs will be astounded by the discovery of this little saint and fascinated to find out why he would follow Jesus when he already had a rich and deep spiritual inheritance in Sikhism.
I was praying in my surgery, after clinic hours, one evening in 1992. Then the Lord spoke, "Arise and deliver the foreign Indian workers." He was showing me a mission field at our very doorstep, in a part of Singapore, often referred to as "Little India." This was a large community of migrant workers, Hindus and Muslims
working away from their homeland in India and Bangladesh. Ministry
began and still continues.
Government statistics show that on average, South Asian students in the UK are more likely to achieve 5 GCSE grades A* - C than all other ethnic groups, except Chinese. A significant proportion goes on to university, with British Indians more likely to have a first degree . . .
One day, God began to speak in a still small voice, "Albert, My Son Jesus died for you. Now, what will you do for Him?" That question shook Albert to the core of his being, and desperately trying to justify himself, Albert answered, " Father, I have spent all my spare time and all my earnings on your work, what more can I do?" . . .

God has set His eyes and heart on billion reformers who must unseat the princes of the world. A billion reformers will impose jurisdiction and kingship over His people. They will change the landscape of nations through their exemplary lives. Then only can the balance of power shift from the kingdoms of the world to the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ as end time prophecies in the bible come to pass. (Isa. 2 : 2- 4) There is an utterance in our spirit: a call for BILLION REFORMERS.

I would like to share three life-changing events in my life with you. The first event happened in 1986 when I was ten years old. One moment I was sleeping in the back seat of my parents' car with no worries in the world, and the next moment there were ambulances all around, and doctors telling my parents I would never walk again. In a matter of seconds, my life was turned upside down . . . . All of the sudden I found myself confined to a wheelchair, unable to
move or feel my legs. I spiraled into a deep depression after that. On
top of that, the accident stripped my home of all happiness and peace.
No one smiled any more. No one laughed. There were just tears and
sorrow.
Aretha Robinson: "I'll show you how to do something once, I'll help you if you mess up twice, but the third time you're on your own. 'Cause that's how it is in the world." Is this really true? As Christians, aren't we called to be different from the world and not leave anyone on their own? Patrick gives us a beautiful insight reflecting upon the movie 'Ray'.
"If God can bless an ordinary person like myself, then why not you? We just have to let him and trust Him with all our heart. The ride that ensues will by no means be comfortable but even in your problems, there will be a peace of mind that only GOD can bestow..."
With post-modernism settling well into our culture and the wealth of conflicting belief systems in the world, many believers especially teenagers feel they are inadequately equipped in presenting the gospel. What then is the best arguement or the best defense for our faith?
