Meet Parminder Singh Puri - a carrier of the Good News par excellence. Wherever he goes, the Name of Jesus goes with him in power, love and liberty. Constantly guided by the Holy Spirit and the truth claims of the Bible in his heart, Parminder says, "The promises found in the Bible are not to be found in any religious books . . . our lives have been transformed . . . we have a hope that we never had before!" There is something about Jesus. That’s why I tell people, "You have a problem, you want peace…anything? Just ask Jesus! Ask Jesus to come into your heart and experience God's miracle for your life!"
Meeting God
We must meet God if we are to know Him. If you look at the world today, a rising indifference to the God of the Scriptures should not intimidate the true believer. For if they are truly believing the words of the Christ of the Scriptures, if they truly had a holistic encounter with the Christ on the Cross, they would have no qualms about following Him. It’s when we don’t know something that we create something else to combat our blatant misunderstandings. Atheists look to organized religion and say, what a bunch of bull. I look at organized religion and for the most part completely agree with the atheist. The God I serve is not about religion, rather He is about true relationship and utter dependence upon Him.

Looking Forward & Thinking About The Future
2007 is going to be an interesting year for me. I say this because there's a number of things that's changed within me. I have actual goals for the new year and I'm actually excited at the possibility of doing some really cool things.
Jesus Christ – Reason for the Season
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit . . . . an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because He will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel"—which means, "God with us." . . . . With this timeless truth and hope, we wish all South Asian Connection readers, viewers, friends and family a Blessed Christmas.
Practical Faith
Why do people make the calling of God some out-there, super-spiritual, phenomenon? Calling in simple terms is obedience and faithful allegiance to God. It stems from a relationship with God—not own merits. Calling is so often misunderstood . . . the way God is working on my life, I may not know what my 'calling' is until my death. I am finding out more and more that I do not need to sit around and wait for a calling to do something such as helping out in a ministry for the time being or going on a short-term mission trip. Get out there and God will guide you. I want to go to different places just for the experience and opportunities. That is when God speaks to you and you grow in Christ and become a more mature person.
Christian Media: 2007 and Beyond!
The quality of our programming and publication must change. We need quality. We need world-class production values. Most importantly, we need creativity. We need a committed and creative work force that will think differently to get the collective attentions of Christians and non-Christians around the world. This applies to both the visual and print media. There is a need for a modern, young and vibrant language. And let’s not preach to the young. We resent it. Instead utilize us. We have a greater role to play, especially in today’s context . . . Read on as Syd Vartak challenges this young, vivacious generation to bring a tremendous change to all Christian media.

18 and Preaching the Word!
Meet Moses Ajay Patras - the 18 years old preacher extra-ordaniare. He's young, godly and passionate to serve God's purposes in our generation. Last week Moses preached his first sermon on "Unity" from Ephesians 4:1 -7. Moses says that unity is not just a possibility; it is a divine requirement if we are to be everything God wants us to be as a church . . . and there is no divorcing Christian doctrine from Christian duty! “You know the truth, now walk in it!” The bottom line is this: Where there is genuine faith, there will be genuine works to back it up in unity!
All This Obedience And Still No Assurance.
One day, I asked, "Pitaji, when I die, will my obedience set me free from the cycles of births and deaths? "Son, there is no gurantee," my father replied. All this obedience and still no assurance."Son, there is no guarantee," my father replied. All this obedience and still no assurance.I was angry, confused and disappointed. Feeling cheated, I made the
decision to leave the religion of my forefathers. A few days later I
walked into my father's room and told him of my decision to leave
Sikhism. My father thought I was joking. I had my hair cut and walked
away from the religion. My life was empty and was so meaningless. I did not understand why I felt so empty. Malayalees And The Media

Mentors Or Tormentors
A leader, correctly understood within the Christian context, is a steward of the followers, co-workers and personnel under his or her care. Often, that care involves simply being a loving brother or sister in Christ. Unfortunately, instead of loving other people, many leaders often exploit or discourage them. The net result of perverted stewardship and corrupted leadership is a loss for the Kingdom of God. Many organizations are left without proper successors and young followers often fall away, discouraged and disillusioned. Many potentially great leaders have become casualties because of the unethical behaviour of senior leaders. God calls such leaders to repent and to rediscover the true meaning of being a steward-leader.
The Maligned Missionary
It is still intriguing to me how the subject of Christian missionary activity makes so many non-Christians uncomfortable, often to the point of remonstration. One mention of Christian conversion in company as diverse as a devout Hindu, a nominal Jew, or an enlightened secularist and you immediately get the feeling that this is a distasteful subject. The reaction is especially common amongst the post-colonial cultures of Asia, where missionary activity is associated with a crusading westernization that is out to undermine the virtues of indigenous culture. Are the critics right? Is the spreading of the gospel necessarily an arrogant enterprise that presumptuously proclaims to unbelievers, “we know better than you”?

Jesus Appeared In A Dream To a Sikh Woman And Changed The Destiny Of Her Family Forever
Like so many immigrants, Bhupinder Singh moved to Canada from India within the last decade. Working in the banking industry as an Information technology professional, . . . he was thankful to God for that. "I thought whatever I had," says Bhupinder, "was a blessing from WAHEGURU - my own religion, my own faith, my own scriptures." But that began to change. "One night, after praying and reading our scriptures, my wife had a dream. In this dream, the Lord Jesus himself came to her and told her about what she has been praying for. . . .
Marriage Killers
Marriage is a divine institution and we must seek God's help and guidance to make it work. The Bible speaks a lot about marriage - the way it is intended to be in the first place. However, with the pressures of modern lifestyle and demanding careers, marriage is often kept in the back burners for the urban families. Marriages do not crumble overnight but slowly over a period of time due to steady neglect. Sam George identifies 10 Marriage Killers and cautions us to guard our marriages lest we too fall through the cracks and become a statistic for seperation or divorce.
