Ten Major Proofs for the Existence of God

Does God exist? Dr. Joseph Materra writes a persuasive and well thought-out article on the "Ten Major Proofs Offered by Theists for the Existence of God." He presents the argument from an Ontological, Cosmological, Teleological, Biblical, Wish, Faith and Subjective perspective supported strongly also with the argument from life, miracles and moral values.

Young Lady– You Are Called And Anointed

I believe that women are created with a specific purpose and God loves us. Picture this- think of the creation story, our God puts Adam to sleep and takes his rib. While God was walking away into His lab to create Eve, I believe He had a specific purpose in mind. I am going to share a few empowering thoughts I had about God in my spiritual journey. I had many “God moments.”  God moments are the times you hear from God and get a revelation either during church worship, a sermon, my own personal devotions or even dreams or visions. It really hit me when one day during a worship service, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Young lady, you are called and anointed, I have a plan and purpose for you…”

Intelligent Design and the Finger-Print of God

"Do faith and science necessarily have to be at odds with one another? Pastor Pritam Singh Sandhu discusses the evidence for Intelligent Design and how science and the exploration of God's universe is actually an enterprise that can and should testify to God's fingerprint in every facet of creation. In particular, Intelligent Design constitutes the best and most causally adequate explanation for the origin of the genetic information in the DNA necessary to produce a living cell.

Jesus' Suffering and Crucifixion From a Medical Point of View

This article is approached from the perspective of how a physician would assess the injuries of Jesus if he were there to see the actual physical trauma Jesus experienced. Dr. Keith Maxwell speaks plainly, with as little medical jargon as possible. His development of this topic began to evolve one night when Dr. Maxwell, in the emergency room, thought to himself, "If they brought the Lord in here, exactly what would his physical injuries be like?" He hopes through this article to reveal some things that will make us meditate on the actual suffering Jesus experienced in the last hours of his life. In the notes that follow are his conclusions about the death of Jesus based on his research, experience as a trauma physician and his understanding of scripture.

Jesus – Holy and Annointed One, Name Above All Names

Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,  And every tongue confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11 Amplified Bible.

When Will I Ever Change?

An oft-quoted Bible verse in Christian discipleship programmes is 2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!" But the new disciple soon finds out that at least in his case this Scripture is not experienced. He wonders why. He dares not ask others about it. He struggles within himself, sometimes even for years, without finding a satisfactory explanation. May be, dear reader, you are in such a condition. The total change promised in this text seems to be out of your reach. You are however constantly bothered by the question, When will I ever change?

Keys to Understanding Yourself and Releasing Your Purpose

Purpose is the innate sense of knowing why you were born (John 18:37), Vision is the ability to see in your heart your purpose unfolding (Luke 4:18), Mission is the general description of your purpose (Mark 16:15) and Goals are practical steps that bridge your vision and dreams to reality (Luke 13:32). Most people want their lives to be filled with meaning, purpose, and significance. God created us all for a purpose and He has  mapped out our lives before we were born for a purpose. Fulfilling purpose is never selfish but always blesses humanity. God didn’t give you a purpose to have a nice house, cars, and luxury. Those are only by-products of blessings but not the purpose of your existence. Read on as Joseph Mattera shares the keys to understanding who you are and what your purpose in life is.

Keys to Intimacy in Marriage

People often get married while they are in the honeymoon stage of their relationship, thus they have never worked through the grid of their relationship when all those euphoric feelings are missing. Also, most men are clueless in regards to the state of their relationship with their spouse. A few years after I was married, someone once asked me how my marriage was and I said great, not knowing that my marriage was in trouble because my wife was feeling alienated from me emotionally. If leaders would just learn to properly prioritize their marriage and family, focusing properly on what matters most, then all the other things they desire for significance will manifest in their proper time!

I Have Received Unlimited Grace, Mercy And Favor from a Holy and Righteous God.

My name is Gurdeep Lu Luthra and I was born in a Sikh family in Amritsar, Punjab but grew up in Bombay and later the United States. I took an active part in religious activities from an early age. I naturally thought of myself as a good person and holy in the eyes of God since I was raised in a very religious family in India and stayed away from evils like alcohol, drugs, smoking etc.. . Since my childhood I had always known that my good deeds would be able to save me and I thought of myself as holy and righteous. This is what I was taught till . . .

A Passionate Painter/ Artist – That's How God Made Me.

Abraham’s Journey to Christ emerged from a seed-thought to do something for the love of Israel: its land, its history, its people, its God, my God. The idea pitted itself against my own doubts stemming from an informal learning in art, history, theology and the relevant sciences. Between the devil and the deep blue sea, this is where my personal relationship with God calls for faith, trust and obedience. But what I envisioned as a few months work stretched to two full years. In the process, it became evident that what mattered more than talent was character. Character that embodies faith, discipline and diligence, without the assurance of money or anyone looking over one’s shoulder, will transform a dreamer into a doer. The experiential process in producing this book has therefore entrenched me deeper in God. Be blessed as Larry James paints words into pictures to the glory of God..

My Calling In Life: Serving God Amongst The Poorest Of The Poor

My name is Birender Kumar. I am 29 and in the prime of my life.  I heard the call of God to serve amongst the poorest of the poor in a slum colony in Delhi. An observer writers: "With very great difficulties, we entered the hutments to meet a dear servant of God, namely, Birender Kumar, who has his wife, three young children and aged father all living in a single-room hut which lacks all basic amenities. During the rainy season, the rainy water enters their living room . . . If they have to answer the call of nature, they have to go to the open space, preferably under the cover of darkness. In this hut, this servant of God lives happily and ministers to the people in his neighborhood.  Birender is found in the center of God's will for his life."

Top Five Regrets of an Eighty-Year-Old Minister

I have been around many older ministers over 28 years of full-time ministry. I have also noticed that only very few seem satisfied with the way they prioritized their time in regards to their life and ministry. Because of this I often spend my time thinking ahead about many years from now, when I will be near the end of my earthly sojourn, and try to visualize what activity and fruit borne that would give me the most pleasure based on the Scriptures and my calling.  The following observations are those I have made for myself, looking ahead so that I will not live my last days with regret, cynicism, and denial.

Life With God Is A Faith Adventure Par Excellence

As a teenager, when I gave my life to Jesus, I could never have imagined the awesome adventure I was about to embark on.  It is an adventure that has allowed me to travel to the ends of the earth, partner with the forces of good, and battle against the legions of evil.  It is an adventure that has allowed me to see, hear and experience the supernatural as I have put on the helmet of salvation, taken up the shield of faith and wielded the sword of the Spirit.  . . . Last year alone, for me, has been full of adventure, excitement and the unknown.  I started the year as an employment attorney for a prestigious law firm – working around the clock on a high profile case – making good money.  I am ending the year unemployed in a foreign land – working to reach and help nameless people – living completely by faith.

The Long and Winding Road Home

At different stages of my youth, I followed Hinduism, Islam and various cults. Suffice to say, I mixed with bad company and became very violent. My parents took me to India under the pretext of a visit but actually used the trip to put me into a hostel. The hostel was a prison for me. I lost all my friends and was in a new world that I could not relate to . . . .this depressed me further and made me more violent. My affinity for heavy metal music further darkened me: I could hear sublimal messages in the music. I even went out to the woods at night to connect with spirits. I had become a nightmare to my family, school and most people I came into contact with . . . but God lovingly brought me 'home' and made something beautiful of my life.

Creation Science: Support for Genesis Chapter One

Modern Science lends its weight to Genesis Chapter One. This article takes the reader through each verse of the first chapter of the book of Genesis and shows how it integrates with modern scientific knowledge. Rosario D'Souza writes " . . . Moses gave a very accurate account of creation in the first chapter of the book of Genesis. The conclusion is that there was no way for him to have that knowledge at the time of writing unless he was inspired by God. The very first chapter of the first book of the Bible establishes the authenticity of God's authorship of the Bible."

Which Religion Should You Follow? The Answer Is None!

Every human being has an inbuilt desire to know where they come from. The Creator has also in-built in us a guiding function known as our conscience. Truth is experienced by a true desire to know God and turn away from sin. Harmit Jandu writes, "I personally do not believe in ‘religion’. I’m not religious but I am spiritual. Religion is man-made efforts to reach God that produce little or no results. Religion is based on ritual and it is in this distant way that many follow God. God is not into religion - He is into relationship with His creation."

Nothing Is Impossible With God!

Eversince a child, I had a severe stammering problem where I could not even speak clearly or read a simple sentence fluently. Though, I went to a speech therapist, there wasn’t much improvement. As a consequence, I was always afraid to speak in public as I did not want to be ridiculed . . . Be faith inspired as Jasbir Dhaliwal proclaims with confidence "I have come to believe that  nothing is impossible with God and He makes all things beautiful in His time."

Excellence In Giving

Achieving excellence in everything is man's greatest struggle in life. We want to excel in everything we do—in academics, knowledge, skills, jobs, finances, possessions, business, etc. There is nothing wrong in excelling in these areas of life. In 2 Corinthians 8:7-15, Paul commends the church for their “faith, speech, knowledge, complete earnestness, and love” (v-7a). But he says, “SEE (v-7b) that you also EXCEL in the grace of GIVING.”  We seldom think of excelling in the area of giving. Giving is one of the most important characteristics of a believer. When Christians learn to give, they learn to share in one of the greatest acts of God. Because God gives, we learn giving from God Himself.

Time Management For A Successful Life

Why manage time? We all have a choice either to live life aimlessly or live life with a purpose. To lead a life with purpose we need to prioritize and structure our lives. And what is the ultimate purpose in life? I believe the answer is to discover GOD'S plan for our lives and act upon it. And GOD has given us enough time to accomplish HIS purposes in our lives. Read on and be blessed as Junu Thomas leads you in a process in time management.
