Born into a Hindu family, brought up in the Sikh faith, and educated at a Muslim school in Kenya, Ram became a Christian believer as a young adult. He has written several books including “Sari ‘n Chips”, “Chapatis for Tea”, “Lions, Princesses and Gurus”, and “How Would Jesus Vote?”
An experienced international businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Ram Gidoomal has worked for over 30 years at board and senior management level in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
He is currently Chair Designate of Traidcraft, Stewardship Services UK, the South Asian Development Partnership, Allia, and Future Business Ltd.
He is also a Board member of the Food Standards Agency in the UK and the New York City Leadership Centre and Advisory Board member and Vice President of the Institute of Business Ethics.
