Stephen talks to AsiaNews about his unique and personal story that revolves around his discovery that Christ is the Mighty God "in weakness" and the certainty that "God is faithful." "My mother was a very devout woman who introduced me to the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib educated us at home in the prayer and recitation of the hymns of the sacred scriptures. Through Shame And Failure To Be A Blessing To The World

Benny Prasad says, "If I could be made useful, any one in this world can. If my dreams can come true, yours can too. My sin and shame has been exchanged for righteousness and new life by the Almighty God who died to set me free. For those with no hope, there is more to life than what today holds. I thank God that I did not end my life but rather chose to live through shame and failure so that today I'm able to be a blessing to the world. Remember, you are never too bad or sinful for God to redeem and transform."

I Was Once Lost But Now Am Found!

I am Sunil Rane and this is my story. I come from a Goan orthodox Hindu family. Ever since my childhood, I had a very strong desire to learn more about God. My parents taught me prayers that I used to chant every day while worshiping the idols placed in our house, but I had many questions and queries which neither my family members nor the priests in the temple could answer . . . Such was my immense craving for God that I traveled to different places just to learn more about spirituality and meditation, I went to ashrams, I met Gurus and I read many religious books. I was already working at that time when in 1996, I came across a religious book exhibition where I found some old scriptures in Hindu books called Vishnu Puran and Books on Vedas .

Runaway Convert – Fathima Rifqa Bary

Over the last few weeks, popular media has been covering the story of the conversion of Sri Lankan second generation Muslim girl, Fathima Rifqa Bary. Youtube and Facebook has been at the heart of this controversy. Fathima Rifqa Bary even has an URL after her name – www.rifqabary.com

Listen to Fathima Rifqa Bary testimony on Youtube.

Fathima Rifqa Bary of Columbus, Ohio was raised in a Muslim home, studied the Quran, and practiced the ways of Mohamed. Several years ago, she converted from Islam to Christianity when she found that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Fathima Rifqa Bary continued living in Columbus with her family, sneaking out at night after her parents had gone to sleep to attend prayer meetings and to read her Bible. After her father threatened to kill her for apostasy, a crime under Islamic Sharia law, Rifqa hitchhiked to the bus station and fled to Florida.

Confessions of Augustine

In the “Confessions“, Augustine lays out the story of his life, opening himself up as completely as possible to God and to his readers. In doing so, he is praising God for His salvation and His grace and to inspire others to actively seek their return to God. “Yet through loving humility, we find our way back to You. You purify our evil dispositions; you are merciful towards the sins of those who confess to You; You hear the groans of captives and set us free from the bonds we have forged for ourselves.” (The Confessions 1997, Book 3, paragraph 16) This salvation by grace alone made all the difference in my life. Romans 5:1-2 states that “For by grace are ye saved through faith, not of yourself, it is the gift of God. Therefore since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.”

Homecoming of a Hindu Pujari and His Life Transforming Story

Veeranjaneyulu is the grandson of a Hindu mystic who was buried alive as per his wish.  Veeranjaneyulu followed his father’s tradition of being a Pujari for Hindu gods. In 1992, he participated in the Ayodhya Procession along with his uncle who was a VHP representative from Rayalseema. Yet when the Lord Jesus Christ called him, he and his family left everything and suffered excommunication and humiliation to follow the one True God. Veeranjaneyulu shares his life transforming story with C Stephen David.

I Became A Free Man In Jesus Christ

Most of the early years of my life, I lived a life of illusion trying to cover the vacuum in me through food, friends, entertainment, education and work. My conscience knew for the most part what was right and what was wrong. Yet I leaned towards doing what is wrong. I was never able to prevail against the power of sin. I tried to beat the shortcomings in my life, but to my dismay all the contending was in vain. I knew my life was being led in a way opposite to where my own conscience accused me. But I was stubborn and made all excuses and justifications to lead my life the way I wanted. Gradually my conscience started to get hardened and I found myself spiritually estranged and in bondage to all kinds of evil deeds. I used to wonder if there was ever a way out of the burden some, monotonous cycle of life's misery.

Jesus, The Only Way To Salvation

Hi, I am John Narayanan. I have been a follower of Jesus Christ for about six years now. My family belongs to the Brahmin Hindu caste. For four years, I studied the Vedas, which are the Hindu sacred writings, in the evenings after school. For two years, I learned yoga. I was exposed to meditation, special breathing, and kundalini or chi teachings. Then I came to Singapore to study. During one set of school holidays, I even served as a relief priest at a Hindu temple here. Despite my early and steep involvement in Hinduism, my family transferred me from a famous Hindu school to a Christian missionary school. From there I learned the song from Psalm 42, “As the deer panteth for water so my soul longeth after Thee.” I believe that it was this seed that brought me to the Lord Jesus.

We Have Come To Pray For You; There is Witchcraft Done On You!

The Death Of My Guru - Testimony of Jag Mohan Chhabra - Here I was lacking nothing … power, position and wealth. But there was no peace within. Whatever I attempted ended in failure. My deteriorating health filled me with fear. I received all kinds of suggestions to resolve my situations and I tried most of them. I was like a drowning man, clutching at every straw. It was then, one fine morning at 7.00 am that my sister- in- law along with some friends descended on my home and she said: “We have come to pray for you; there is witchcraft done on you!”  They offered to pray for me though I was least inclined and had difficulty concealing my hatred. And she insisted that I pray to Jesus leaving all other gods and goddesses of mine. I, a staunch Hindu, was not willing to do it. I told her that the only concession I was willing to make was to accept Jesus as one of the gods.

Life Without Limits | No Arms | No Limbs | No Worries

Nick Vujicic - A remarkable story of God's grace. My number one passion is for souls. I just love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. Over time, I’ve developed messages that relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers.

An Indian Christian Convert Addresses India

My conversion was not a change of religion; it was a change of heart. I was born a Brahmin and am the grandson of a priest whom I dearly loved. I am educated and my current professional standing indicates that I am reasonably intelligent. I am also affluent and my income would put me distinctly in the upper middle class bracket. I guess that would make me high-caste, rich and smart. In other words, I am not a tribal, or poor or dim-witted. And yet, I chose to become a follower of Jesus Christ. The world would call me a convert to Christianity. I have no problems with that, though I see my faith more as a relationship with God through Jesus Christ than as a religion. And for the record, I can truthfully claim that no one financially induced or threatened or deceived me into converting to Christianity.

Divinely Connected To My Creator, Master, and True Living God

My name is Inder Mohan Singh. I had a foot-and-a-half long beard, had long hair and tied a turban till about 1996. I was born into a Sikh family of very devout and religious people, made up mostly of physicians and Army officers. I was the youngest, fattest and most spoiled of four children, three male and a female! My two older brothers and eldest sister had not studied in private schools (called public schools in India!) but my father, a retired Army officer who had spent 42 months in Italy and Egypt during the Second World War, was determined that I be educated in an English-medium school . . . . We used to be taken to the Sikh temple regularly and we read the Sikh scriptures off and on (a copy of which was kept ritualistically ‘adorned’ at our home)!

Mobilizing People For God and for Country

I was born and raised as a Hindu worshipping the idol gods in a village, Kurumaddali, Andhra Pradesh, India. My father died when I was four years as he was witch-crafted by a witch man that was paid by another family in order to kill my family. My mother and grandparents tried every thing to get him cured. They offered the animal sacrifice in a graveyard in the midnight hour with the help of another witch doctor. They took him to mental hospitals and Hindu temples. They finally took him to a big temple where millions of Hindus go to shave their heads and give hair offering to the god of seven hills.

I Left My Family Not Knowing What To Do Or Where To Go . . . .

After that day, I began to see differences in my life and my attitude changed. I stopped taking drugs, did not mix with bad company and my dirty books were replaced with Christian books and the bible . . . . After some time my father came to know about my conversion and he was deeply upset about it. He told me to stop what I was doing, stop following Christ but I refused. When he saw that I was adamant with my decision, he asked me to leave the house. With tears in my eyes, I left with the clothes on my back not knowing what to do or where to go.

A Lifelong Millionaire's Dream To God's Perfect PLAN A For My Life

I am Raj Nagi and currently live in the USA. I used to live in Punjab, India from the Kshatriya family where it was my lifelong dream to come to America and live the millionaire’s life.  I lived a wild life of alcoholism and carelessness.  I was a devoted Hindu who married a girl from the Brahman family.  I came to America in 1995 and began working in an Indian store in Atlanta, Georgia.  During this time I met a Pastor Avinash Raiborde from India who was a regular customer of the store.  The Pastor offered to pray for a problem I was having and three days later the problem was resolved.  I began to really listen to what he was saying about Jesus.  When I lost my job at the store, I was very afraid, but God sent a man to me that day to offer me an even better job!

More Than Dreams – Visions and Dreams of Jesus Among Moslems

For decades, a phenomenon has been recurring in the Muslim world. Men and women – without any knowledge of the Gospel and without any contact with Christians – have been forever transformed after experiencing dreams and visions of Jesus Christ. Reports of these supernatural occurrences often come from “closed countries” where preaching the Gospel is forbidden and where converting to Christianity can invoke the death sentence. A common denominator appears to be that the dreams come to those who are seeking to know and please God. We decided to capture some of these stories in More Than Dreams - Visions and Dreams of Jesus Among Muslims - Moslems and use them as a witnessing tool to Muslims all over the world.

The Torn Veil – The True Story of Esther Gulshan Fatima

When Esther Gulshan Fatima, a devout Pakistani Muslim girl, was six months old, typhoid left her a cripple. Her loving father took her from Pakistan to England to find a cure, but the only hope the British specialist could offer was prayer. Gulshan and her father made a pilgrimage to Mecca and begged Allah for healing . . . . As Gulshan began reading the Quran, her interest in Jesus grew, until one amazing night Jesus appeared to her in her bedroom in a blaze of light. Jesus restored her crippled arm and leg and taught her 'The Lords Prayer'. Jesus told her to go to his people now and tell them what he had done. Since that time, and to this day, Esther Gulshan Fatima has been a joyous, obedient disciple of Christ. Gulshan Esther now lives in Oxford, England. The Torn Veil has sold over 200,000 copies.

Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj – Apostle To Tibet, The Himalayas And The World

On December 24, 1983, Brother Sadhu had a supernatural visitation from the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus then asked Sundar Selvaraj, "Will you continue the ministry of Sadhu Sundar Singh?" Without any hesitation, Selvaraj answered "Yes Lord!" Smiling, the Lord said, "Do not reply hastily! This is a very difficult ministry with lots of suffering. You may have to suffer loneliness, isolation, hunger, pain and persecutions. Now tell Me. Will you accept this ministry?" Humbly kneeling before the Lord Jesus, Selvaraj answered, "Yes Lord. I will continue Sadhu Sundar Singh's ministry." Pleased with that answer, the Lord Jesus came towards Selvaraj and placed a mantle. Laying on his hands upon him the Lord Jesus then said, "I am ordaining you as an apostle to Tibet. Go and evangelize Tibet and her people. From today you shall be called Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj."
