Born in Zambia, Capt. Govindra S Hunjan hails from a devout Sikh family, and was proudly initiated into the ‘Khalsa’ at a very young age. His talents brought him success as the lead actor in a popular Punjabi sitcom, but his dream to fly came crashing down almost before it had taken off.
Despite dire circumstances, Capt. Govindra began his career in aviation as a flight steward with Jet Airways, and went on to obtain his Commercial Pilot License from The Professional Flight Center, Vancouver in 2003. He has flown with Air India as First Officer (Civil Aviation) since 2007.
