Vital Signs In Global Mission!

No one can deny that a fresh wind of God's Spirit is moving around the world. The heightening optimism in mission circles today for the completion of The Great Commission is not unfounded. There is now evidence of the existence of believers in almost every inhabited political entity in the world. The Church of Jesus Christ has become truly global both in presence and in mission. Here are five encouraging vital signs of how the Lord is continuing to build His Church (Matthew 16:18): Increased Partnership, Increased Personnel, Increased Participation, Increased Persecution and Increased Prayer.

The Next Move of God: Church in Community

In 1999 the Spirit of God began to emphasis the recognition of the marketplace as part of the kingdom of God, and since then many began to recognize the biblical mandate to disciple whole nations according to the dominion mandate of Genesis 1:28 and Matthew 28:19. Now I believe it is time that we go from talking about taking cities to actually doing it in a practical way. The following article is based on what I have been doing through Resurrection Church in my particular community. I am not dealing in this article with what we have been doing in the body of Christ in our city, but what we are doing for our community.

Jesus – My Mentor, Leader, Role Model and Hero

Jesus didn't just speak of healing, he performed it. He didn’t just dislike the devil, he cast him out. He didn't simply sympathize with the hungry, he fed them! He was willing to do, he was ready to act. His words were heard and repeated, not because of their excellence in language, but for their effectiveness in function! Remember Christian, mere words will be trashed by this world, but true authority will liberate the bound. . . .When you preach the gospel it is not mere words. There is ALMIGHTY power ready and available to back the 'truth' that you preach! . . . Remember saint, “The kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." (I Corinthians 4:20)

Life With God Is A Faith Adventure Par Excellence

As a teenager, when I gave my life to Jesus, I could never have imagined the awesome adventure I was about to embark on.  It is an adventure that has allowed me to travel to the ends of the earth, partner with the forces of good, and battle against the legions of evil.  It is an adventure that has allowed me to see, hear and experience the supernatural as I have put on the helmet of salvation, taken up the shield of faith and wielded the sword of the Spirit.  . . . Last year alone, for me, has been full of adventure, excitement and the unknown.  I started the year as an employment attorney for a prestigious law firm – working around the clock on a high profile case – making good money.  I am ending the year unemployed in a foreign land – working to reach and help nameless people – living completely by faith.

Which Religion Should You Follow? The Answer Is None!

Every human being has an inbuilt desire to know where they come from. The Creator has also in-built in us a guiding function known as our conscience. Truth is experienced by a true desire to know God and turn away from sin. Harmit Jandu writes, "I personally do not believe in ‘religion’. I’m not religious but I am spiritual. Religion is man-made efforts to reach God that produce little or no results. Religion is based on ritual and it is in this distant way that many follow God. God is not into religion - He is into relationship with His creation."

Just Ask Jesus!

Meet Parminder Singh Puri - a carrier of the Good News par excellence. Wherever he goes, the Name of Jesus goes with him in power, love and liberty. Constantly guided by the Holy Spirit and the truth claims of the Bible in his heart, Parminder says, "The promises found in the Bible are not to be found in any religious books . . .  our lives have been  transformed . . . we have a hope that we never had before!" There is something about Jesus. That’s why I tell people, "You have a problem, you want peace…anything? Just ask Jesus! Ask Jesus to come into your heart and experience God's miracle for your life!"

A Former Muslim Finds Jesus In The Midst Of Life's Struggles

Shereen Sharif, a former Muslim shares her story about how she found Jesus in the midst of life's stuggles. In her own words, "My life is so much more fulfilling . . . in Jesus Christ, I have found true joy and satisfaction, a life worth living, and a real Father who loves me so much more than I could ever love Him. I thank God for what He has done in my life—and for calling me His daughter."

The Normal Christian Life – Is It Possible?

The normal Christian life is an all-encompassing love relationship with the Master, and a principle-driven love relationship with the Church. The Christian life is all about dying to self and living for God, and learning to reach to others as we grow together in community. Ashish Joy pens this article from his soul asserting with confidence that the normal Christian life is entirely livable... with a contagious compassion that reaches out to people in our communities, cities, regions and nations.

Special SAC Anniversary Message by Pastor Pritam Singh

Two years ago, South Asian Connection was born. Our online presence was established followed by our very first conference, SAGC 2004 in Vancouver Canada. South Asian delegates from all around the world gathered together for an annointed week of worship, discipling, and fellowship. Read on for Pastor Pritam Singh's First Anniversary message.

Targeting the Second Generation of South Asians

In July of 2001, God laid a vision in the hearts of various leaders of the South Asian Diaspora for a new and relevant work aimed at the next generation of young South Asians. With this goal in mind, a core group was formed of South Asian ministry leaders and advisory council members from different countries and denominations. These individuals joined their hearts in fervent prayer for God's wisdom and creativity to turn this vision into a reality. And so was born South Asian Connection and plans for the first South Asian Global Convention.
