Serving God's Purposes in Our Generation (Acts 13:36b)

The Hard Stuff

It is tough dealing with the hard stuff. Especially when there is so much irrational pain. It hurts even more when talking about it brings no relief, comfort or clarity. So what is next? What do you do? Hold on tight and wait. Keep doing what you know is right and what you know needs to be done. The relief may not come now, tomorrow or for a long time but there is some consolation. It is found in the end of all things.

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

There is also other things to be done. Frame your pain in Jesus' It can bring whole new meaning and insight.

Also, remember the tangible benefits of suffering. Here is couple of many..

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." (Romans 8:18)

"And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:3-5)
