Talk About Multifaith, All In One Person: Paul Sheik Chinna Kasim. He Was Born A Muslim In South India, Raised With Hindu Traditions, And Now Lives A Life Of A Born-Again Christian, Where A Spiritual Experience In His Life Transformed Him. He now finds every opportunity to spread the word of God through his classical music and the special instrument he plays. This instrument is known as Nadhaswaram (or Nagaswaram).
What is the Nadhaswaram? It is a long wind instrument, with an elongated body ending in a large opening or flare which is either made of metal or wood. This is a popular instrument in the region where Mr. Kasim was born: Tamil Nadu. Considered to be an auspicious instrument, it is often played in the Hindu temples and/or at weddings. It has a loud and intense volume, therefore it is usually played outdoors.
Lightning and Thunder Trust exists to bring the Word of God to every part of the world through Gospel Meetings and bringing about awareness of the Nadaswaram, a chosen instrument to Glorify God.
For the past seven years, Lightning and Thunder Trust has conducted spiritual meetings and seminars in many parts of the world. We work diligently across the globe, partnering with local Churches and Prayer groups to bring the Gospel to all. Village Evangelism has been a very important part of our ministry.
We present Nadaswaram concerts around India, which attracts many unbelievers and gives us an opportunity to share the Gospel with them. We have produced many inspirational worship songs through audio cassettes and video CD’s. We stay in constant touch with our partners through email and letters encouraging them in their walk with Christ.
On occasion, Paul Sheik Chinna Kasim also has the opportunity to encourage many non-believers to know Christ by sharing his testimony via television.
