Davita Maharaj
Davita Maharaj was born in Los Angeles. Part of her childhood was spent in Zurich, Switzerland. After moving back to the States, she attended Westridge School in Pasadena, took night classes at the Art Center College of Design, and then moved to Chicago where she attended and graduated from Wheaton College. Davita Maharaj works full time at Russ Reid, the world's largest agency exclusively dedicated to fundraising for nonprofit organizations. Her client at Russ Reid is a large international NGO, whom she helps fundraise for humanitarian disasters; children in poverty, slavery and child-trafficking; AIDS, malaria, and other life-threatening diseases. On the side, she collaborates on educational projects for India's poorest children, travels, and is a freelance writer. Besides art, international education, and philanthropy, Davita is passionate about all things Indian. And she loves spending time with friends and family. Davita Maharaj is a Fellow at the Trinity Forum Academy in Royal Oak,
Maryland, and is pursuing a master's degree in international human
rights law at Oxford University.
